Student research opportunities

The Centre for Human Centred Design Technology seeks students interested in addressing the following focus areas:

  • software development designs and develops methodologies, processes, techniques and automated tools that assist software developers to improve the quality of software, more accurately meets end-user requirements and is delivered on time and within budget
  • information systems investigates how existing, new and emerging technologies can be best adapted to improve people's work practices to increase productivity and result in quality outcomes
  • interaction design uses insights from studies of human activities to inform the design of technologies that support, mediate or enable those activities, focusing particularly on the design of emerging mobile and immersive technologies, interactive art and museum environments
  • learning environments explores theoretical and applied perspectives on the use of ICTs to develop and enhance learning in a range of work environments including music, tertiary education, small businesses and construction sites.

Students will undertake human-centred technology design approaches to existing, new and emerging technologies.
